MAH Gee

I know my babies are growing up. It's what they do.
It doesn't surprise me.
We feed them a lot.

What surprises me are the little things they figure out how to do all on their own.
Like:
pull the covers up over themselves in the night
or
pour their own milk
or
a hundred other insignificant actions that prove they are in fact individuals who someday won't need me to take care of every little single thing.
Like:
Tuck them in
or
Make them breakfast
or
pick out their outfits
or
snuggle.

Sigh.

And I know I've said it before,
but there's really no stopping you once you can say your own name.

So here's to my Bear Cub. On her way in the world.

  1. It's actually sad...we spend so much time teaching and showing them the ropes..and it leads them to being so independent that before long we're not so needed!

If you want an awesome read check out "Let Me Hold You Longer" by Karen Kingsbury. It's in her kids books section. I'd advise you to have kleenex ready. I read it to my guys for the first time not that long ago and bawled my way through it. I think it's really more for the parents as a reminder to treasure all the little things the kids do.

She's my favorite author...I've not met a book of hers I didn't love.

  2. I've watched it a thousand times. It just gets sweeter and sweeter.
